As the field replacement window opens owners need to critically weigh their options based on budget and user group demands. Concerns about how the new field will impact the environment are becoming an ever more important consideration.

What is the estimated annual cost for maintenance?
Over how many years will the cost be amortized?

Site Engineering
Does the base work, including the drainage system, need to be replaced?
Are there any storm water regulations that affect how the new field is engineered?
Are the field’s dimensions, orientation or slopes to be altered?
Is there other work to be undertaken, such as track surfacing, new bleachers, lighting, etc?

Turf
Who are the primary user groups?
How many hours will the turf be used on average per week?
Should a shock attenuation pad be included?
What fiber is best for the intended usage?
What field markings and graphics should be included and what are the color choices?
What kind of infill is to be used?
