All of our Sportgrass® systems are manufactured with premium PE monofilament fibers that provide the look and feel of perfectly manicured natural grass. But don’t be fooled by their beauty: SG fields deliver robust performance and superior playing characteristics.

Components of the SG system are chosen to meet your sport-specific demands. These can include stiffer or softer upright pile fibers and texturized underpiles, manufactured to varying face weights and finished heights. Regardless of the final configuration, every SG surface comes with an eight-year, third party insured workmanship and performance warranty. And when Motz builds the base and installs the surface, our Cover3® warranty is extended to the entire system. That promise keeps us on your team long after we’ve delivered your field.

SportGrass HP - Sportgrass performance coupled with Envirofill® acrylic coated sand and Alveosport technical sports layer pad, delivers a first class, high performance system. This type of system represents relatively new technology but already has been awarded FIFA 2-star certification in Europe and Australia.


Sportgrass® Synthetic Turf System in Detail

1. Non-abrasive Pile Fibers – The carpet is designed to deliver exceptional playing characteristics, particularly for sports where ball control and predictability are critical to the game. Aesthetics can be enhanced by combining multiple color shades in a single carpet or in alternating panels.

2. Infill Options – Sportgrass systems are infilled with a mixture of sand and crumb rubber granules to produce a surface that’s firm and fast but resilient enough to meet targeted Gmax levels.  Set your field apart by upgrading to a Sportgrass HP system with Envirofill acrylic coated sand infill and enjoy extraordinary performance and environmental benefits.

Shock Attenuation Pad (optional) – Any Sportgrass field can be designed to include our EAL™ (Energy Absorption Layer™) system: a superior shock attenuation pad that provides high-energy absorption without causing leg fatigue.

3. Two-tier Gravel Foundation – The two-tier gravel foundation is engineered for stability and rapid water infiltration. The finished surface is laser leveled and compacted to assure perfect uniformity.
